Timeline of ESG developments in 2025 – Q3 update

The first half of 2025 has been a busy period for ESG, from the publication of the FRC’s 2026 Stewardship Code to the ongoing revision of EU sustainability regulations through the ‘omnibus’ proposals. As we progress into Q3, we have updated our Timeline of ESG Developments in 2025 to reflect developments which materialised during Q2, along with new key dates to watch and updates to timings.

While some dates remain provisional, we will continue to update the timeline quarterly to keep you informed of future developments. Throughout the remainder of the year, we will also continue to publish timely updates through our Sustainable Matters blog and Horizon Scanning programme of short articles and podcast episodes.
